Energy conservation
The OPO unit can alert customers to demand charges, saving customers money and helping the utility avoid the use of power sources like natural gas or coal. Each unit will conserve .13 tons of C02 over its lifetime, the C02 equivalent of a 318-mile road trip in an average passenger vehicle.
Power-up renewables
All electrons are not created equal. The OPO dashboard alerts customers when renewables are online and abundant. These are good times to charge the device. The battery can then provide emissions-free power for use in the evening when the sun sets, and winds die down.
